I am a native of south Florida, a cracker, born and raised. I’m a second generation Everglades Fishing Guide, charter boat captain and, apart from a few months guiding elk hunters out west each year, I do nothing but guide anglers in Everglades National Park. My clients catch fish of all shapes and sizes, snook, cobia, permit, redfish , trout, jacks, sharks, and of course the silver king, tarpon. If it swims in the waters of
the Everglades, and it puts a bend in your pole, I fish for it. I am the guy that isn’t afraid to make a fish blood and slime covered mess of my boat, load it up with flopping fish and get the job done the Old Fashioned Way. My friends call me “Insane Wayne” ‘cause I’m crazy about fishing so when you’re on my boat remember to wear your ‘play clothes’ ‘cause we’re gonna get dirty. Bleach is cheap and at the end of the day I use gallons of it to clean the crud off my skiff. It may not be pretty but when you fish with me its pure fun and drag pulling excitement. Kids love it. Grown up kids will love it too.
So when you’re ready for some Old Style Florida fishing get ahold of me the old fashioned way, by telephone, at home, 239-695-2445, or on my cell, 239-269-3602. If I can’t answer the phone it’s because I’m on the water and out of cell phone range so leave me a message and I’ll call you back as soon as I get in.

As a Native Son I have been a fishing guide for most of my life. I started working at a young age on my father’s charter boat the ‘Music Maid’ out of pier 5 in Miami, first as a deckhand and later as first mate. Over the years I’ve worked as a guide and fished from Key West to Biscayne Bay, to Flamingo and on to the Gulf Coast waters of Everglades National Park and the Ten Thousand Islands. This has given me a lifetime of tribal knowledge about the fish that roam these waters and I’ve developed my own tried and true tactics to catch them. And catch them we will. When you fish with me I’ll use all the tools in my arsenal, live bait, cut bait, jigs, shrimp, popping corks, as well as artificial lures and plugs. Whatever it takes to catch fish! I will put in a one hundred percent effort to provide you with a great day of pure fish catching fun.
So let’s go, what are we waiting for? Call me today to book your Everglades Fishing Charter, and let’s talk fishing. My home number is 239-695-2445 , or you can reach me on my cell if I’m not too far from the dock, 239-269-3602 or fill out the form below and we will get back to you as soon as possible:
Captain Wayne is a rare breed of fishing guides. He has spent most of his adult life fishing in South Florida and has spent a considerable amount of time invested in understanding the fishing habits of the ten thousand island waters surrounding the Everglade National Park. Captain Wayne is very passionate about fishing and is a very colorful and salty character that in my mind is what made this fishing trip rewarding.
Had a great day fishing! Wayne took us all over 10,000 island! We caught our limit plus many reds we released. We caught some snapper drum and trout. Would recommend!!
